Multihazard Planning for Childcare- ​This 4 hour class is one of our community related courses that we provide.  Our trained instructors will walk your local childcare facilities through designing an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) step-by-step.  We give the blueprint of the EAP for all levels of childcare.  This includes a small home base facility with 1-2 children to the larger commercial childcare provider with up to 50 children.

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)-EMS-102-324-This course readies community neighborhoods for disaster so they may assist themselves and their neighbors until help is available.

Domestic Violence-EMS-736-13- With domestic abuse on the rise the EMS professional must have a watchful eye out for this type of abuse.  This class trains the provider on how to spot the abuse and how to approach it from a care provider position.  This CE demonstrates the tactics which the abuser uses and how the victim responds.

Elder Abuse-EMS-735-13- This CE class will discuss the issue of Elder Abuse in our society today.  It examines the different types of abuse and gives training on what the first responder may look for to help identify a potential abuse situation.

NIMS Multiagency Coordination System (MACS)-EMS-725-73- This course will introduce Multiagency Coordination Systems (MAC Systems) and provide examples of how these systems can be used to improve incident response.

NIMS Resource Management-EMS-726-74- This course provides training to help resource managers prepare before an incident and contribute effectively to the response to an incident.


Prehospital Management of Traumatic Brain Injury (Provider Course)-EMS-733-74c- This provider course is in partnership with the Brain Trauma Foundation and provides established guidelines for the prehospital providers.

Prehospital Management of Traumatic Brain Injury (Instructor Course)-EMS-734-78c- This Train-the-Trainer course is in partnership with the Brain Trauma Foundation and provides established guidelines for instructors to provide education to prehospital providers on TBI.

Special Events Contingency Planning-EMS-730-716- This 16-hour course prepares the Emergency Management Team for any size event.  The student will come out of the course with all the tools they will need to set up a complete special event of any size.

Spinal Assessment-EMS-741-13- This class sets the groundwork for a prehospital spinal immobilization assessment providing easy to follow algorithm, sample protocols, and sample QA sheet.  These tools allow the provider with our training to be confident to rule out unnecessary spinal immobilization.

START Triage-EMS-731-72- In most EMT classes the DOT outline puts triage in the same lesson as WMD, Geriatric patients, and other topics.  This class focuses on the Simple Triage And Rapid Transport program, which is used across the country and internationally.


Terrorism and Schools-EMS-750-74- This class has been designed to bring emergency responders and ranking school personnel together.  They will be presented with prior situations that schools have met with terrorist attacks.  Edwards EMS Education & Consulting can do this class for just emergency agencies or just school personnel.  We would prefer to have both demographics represented for better communication between them.
